Breakfast in Texas with the deer
great clip...people should learn how to live with wild animals not hunt them down!!!!
and they eat each other all the time! Eating them is more natural than sharing breakfast with them.
However, those who just kill for the thrill is another matter entirely. Humans are the only creature on this planet that enjoys killing for killing's sake. We are the most evil species on earth.
Were not the only animal that kills for fun domesticated cats kill for fun they also eat their kill after playing with it but.... so do we!
By VexMutz 1204083262 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhile their prey may be killed as a result of their "play", domesticated cats do not always eat the dead bird or animal.
By javawood 1243963778 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI've never heard that cats kill for fun. They "play" with little critters and they die as a consequence of their games. I would say the only animal that may kill for fun besides man is the Chimp since it is most like man. EVIL!
By ibbirdbrain 1239640771 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI agree, Also Coyotes kill just for the sake of killing.
Where do you get this silly information. Coyotes are very shy, no aggressive animals. They kill for food and stay out of sight. You are nuts and need to provide more than just you opinion, especially since your opinion is wrong. If you refer to the fact that they take people's pets, that is just because they are easy prey. Let's read some facts on this subject please.
By ibbirdbrain 1239640975 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewhen hunting coyotes the best bait in the world is a new born goat, but calves and rabbits staked out work too
By catfish hunter 1246299423 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemovePeople should only kill to eat and not shoot deer just to get a big rack for their wall. Get out of the house this weekend and get back to nature - I love it!
By legendary240 1190810072 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeonly allows them to BE eaten more easily, helping them to lose fear of people is a sure way to get those bambis killed

By lubeshopdave 1164852044 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removefeeding deers will make them lose to ability for food search and gathering~ it might seem like a good idea temporarily, but on the long run, it will cause a much more negative effect on them
By lkyyun 1164980986 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDeer don't have to "stalk" down grasses and grains. They eat 12 hours out of the day and just as cows don't forget how to put their nose to the ground and graze, der don't either. These are people who are experiencing what Adam and Eve enjoyed.
By legendary240 1190810230 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBut what it may do is get rid of their natural sense of flight when encounterred with humans; which will cause someone here in texas to post yet another video on Metacafe titled "Deer Hunting in Texas" where the deer you see in this video will also appear on the that video.
By ves_960220 1165608322 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeif the food left for them stops, they go right back to foraging. As far as they know, the food you give them, they found, if it ends, they look elsewhere.
By doctorgary34 1165171759 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDeer who are encouraged to come out of the woods for their food will venture closer and closer to populated areas, like our roads and highways. This is why every year the number of car/deer accidents goes up. Deer are beautiful creatures, but they are VERY dangerous when taught to interact with humans. As for hunting, if the population is not thinned out, the results are the same.
By mythreesonz 1191674514 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedeer do not eat in the woods. they hide in the woods. The eat in open fields, meadows, along highways (as houses are in there once open fields and nice ditchgrass grows right by the road) feeding the deer will not cause you a traffic accident. Now, enough talk about how terrible it is to feed the deer. Until you have personaly been in the position and witnessed the outcomes, don't speak. Animals are smart, they know who to trust and who not to. People have been feeding deer all accross this country, have you ever heard a story from a hunter about a deer that wouldn't leave him alone, one that wanted the granola his wife packed? Well, me neither.
By hudson1601 1244355488 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe reason for the increase in car/deer accidents has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with people feeding them, lol! The human population is rising, every year more housing developments and roadways go up. We are continuously bulldozing over the homes of wildlife, where do you think they are going to go? Or do they just magically disappear...
By hudson1601 1244355719 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removecappacio, medium rare ....... f it in a sausage it tastes goog. mmmmm me friend i like mmmm me good, i like give me, give me, give me.
By kill_switch 1165074832 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI'd love for my wife and I to do that. We do love wildlife and film, photo it often. On the other hand, I do harvest one deer per year (a buck). But hey,.I live in Canada. Deer know better here and you're lucky and very stealthy if you can get within 200 yards of one in the wild.
By peterbabine 1173414037 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI'm Canadian and ur an idiot who needs to get a life!
By level6 1243651241 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThose deer aren't a crop for you to "harvest".
By apodder 1241402845 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI am an animal lover myself. But I do believe in harvesting deer. Harvest is the perfect word for it. When you harvest, you wait, you take only what is mature, not the first darn thing that comes along. There is nothing wrong with hunting, until it becomes a sport.
By hudson1601 1244354187 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat is the given word for shooting any wild game dipwad. And in a way they are in fact a crop for humans to harvest just like they've been doing in this country since the days of the Pilgrims. Not sure what Deer hunting laws are in Texas, but in NY most of those deer in the video will NEVER be hunted because they're Doe.
One negative I saw about the video is the woman petting the one deer, and then eating her toast with that same hand. Not a really healthy thing to do.
Good grief, get over it! Are you one of those people who were raised to believe that all animals are dirty and chased the neighbors dog from your yard with a broom like a raving maniac? Those of us who have been around animals all our lives pet our horses and pick up a sandwich with the same hand on a trail ride, share a piece of steak with our dogs, and cuddle with our cats. If I washed my hands every time I touched an animal in 1 day, I would never leave the sind, and I would have a substantial stock in dial handsoap, lol!
By hudson1601 1244354016 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removefor this clip, it really makes my day better. Just remember that mother nature doesn't need our help.. do it once in a while for the pleasure of it but respect mother nature.

By catfish hunter 1246299289 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removejust "AWESOME" this couple must be very loving and caring for the deer to act like that with them. I wish I had grandparents like that .
By Marchia O. 1245451271 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveOne has to wonder WHY are those deer so hungry could it be because they have already consumed all of their own natural food due to over population.
Hunting is not cruel it is a natural part of all wild systems even the Bluebird and Robin on your lawn are hunting. Those deer are tame due to desperation; they live in the equivalent of a ghetto.
Nonesense to those who believe you are desensitizing these wild animals. For instance, my mom has fed wild deer on her farm for the past seven years. She can get close to them, even touch them if she wants. But, the deer will not come up to feed, or come in the clear, if someone else is there. I have been there, have seen a couple waiting at the edge of the woods, but they will not come out. However, I know for a fact that they do come out, as she has several pictures of her with the deer. The deer are not stupid. They know that people cannot be trusted, when trust forms, it comes over a period of time, and not with every human that comes along. Another lady I know feeds wild wolves, that is amazing, she can get very close to these animals, but no one else can! Don't get me wrong. I am not against hunting. My husband and I eat venisen. He hunts for a source of food. But we still appreciate the beauty of these animals!
By hudson1601 1244353726 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveJust an FYI, many animals "kill for fun". Mtn lions, wolves, foxes, coyotes and yes, even fluffy, your cat and roofus your dog. How do I know? Because I have personally seen all of these animals do so and I have seen the results. I'm not saying its wrong for these animals to do this, its is just a fact that they do it because hunting is part of their hard-wiring. When game is plentiful wolves will kill and eat only the choice parts, happens all the time. Mtn lions do the same, especially when they are teaching their young to hunt. Often the lions won't even eat any of the kill and you can find multiple kills closeby, none of which will be eaten. If you don't think your cat hunts for fun then you haven't been watching very closely.
Ever seen the results of a fox in a hen coop? 20 dead chickens, a few missing and a few partially eaten. The rest just dead.
It is very well documented amongst sheep ranchers than coyotes will kill for fun.
Failure to accept that nearly all carnivorious animals enjoy hunting is just ignorant, imo.
AWE!! I think this great.
By Belinda22 1241588599 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei saw deer eating in a backyard in New Braunsfall (speled wrong, but so is greene) last august and it was funny to see the buck eat last - or else, but you've one-upped them- God Bless

By CINDY-O 1240501699 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBoy you people must live in a bubble... Coyote are known to kill an entire herd of sheep for the sheer pleasure of killing.. take a bite out of one or two. Yes they are very wary but opportunist. If it moves its food.. cats, small dogs, small children.
By Trisha505 1239855746 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveCoyotes, small children, I don't think so, lol! Listen, I have lived in the country all my life. I have had horses, goats, chickens, and many other various animals. Have seen coyotes, hundreds of times. They do hunt small game, but for the most part they are scavengers. Although, my chicken coop has been raided by coons...
When they do go after livestock, it is generally young, or injured. They do not like to work for their food too much, and they tend to run from people.
Your wife and yourself look like very kind people.
What a neat experience to share with the animals!
Great video thank you!
This is an amazing video! I would LOVE to sit down with the deers and enjoy a meal together. Watching this video warmed my heart. I do understand the reason we have hunting season is because of the over population but to kill just for the sport of it, in my opinion is wrong. If one "needs" to feed their family and has no other means, well you do what you have to do.
By Lacey356 1238249352 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThese people are not doing the deer any favors. Wild animals becoming dependent on humans for their food source is a recipe for their long term inability to forage for themselves. Not to mention the detrimental effects of the deer loosing their fear of humans.
The only time deer should be fed is in extremely severe winter conditions where there is no food available and their very survival depends on it.
Theses deers are learning to trust humans. They will be easy target for hunters. You should never feed wildlife.
By 1doublet 1237114381 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyou can read books and listen to what others have to say, but, animals are not stupid. God did give them a brain and natural instints. You can never domesticate a wild born animal. I know people who feed deer. The deer trust them, and only them. They will not come around when someone else is there. It can be something as simple as a new vehicle in the driveway that will deter them from coming around. These deer are not going to walk up to hunter looking for food. They probably have more common sense than you do, lol!
