    That's what happens every time a hippo poops.

    Hippos were the last animals the gods created. When they were created, they were made to live on the land, but because Africa is so hot, they really wanted to live in the water. The gods, afraid the hippos would eat all the fish, said no. The hippos promised they wouldn't eat the fish. They worked out a trust-but-verify deal in which the hippos agreed to spread their poop out so the gods could see that there were no bones, and the gods agreed to let the hippos live in the water.
