This instructional video is an overview for the different types of Scuba Dive Computers including Consoles, Wrist, Hose Mount, or Module style Computers.

Dive computers offer the diver a safer and much more convenient way of monitoring decompression limits. A dive computer can also calculate the body’s nitrogen according to the scuba diver´s depth and time, allowing for a diving profile that is much more flexible than the square profiles provided by the conventional dive tables. Owning a dive computer can eliminate the need to have a pressure gauge and depth gauge which will allow you to streamline your gear.

Nitrox dive computers allow the diver to use standard air or Enriched Air Nitrox. Hoseless or wrist dive computers can be mounted in a console, on the wrist, on a hose or even on a retractor.
