Many Indian solutions are also due to stupid religious practices. If all Indians ate meat then INdia would hav had food shortage. If all Indians did not follow the indian culture of Ahimsa and tolerance, we would have become Pakistan. Many religious practices have deep rooted scientific basis. Some are stupid but that must not be a reason to abandon all traditions which were developed over 1000s of yrs.

The very core of this act or the so called "1000 hand" chinese act is indian...
i dont know exactly about its origin but this effect can be well noticed in almost all indian classical dance forms.When u visit the ancient monuments all across the country, u'll find this in the stone carvings of various gods&goddesses...
it originated in ancient india and has evolved thereafter...
Even the americans/british copy this effect in their bollywood/indian dance form routines...
