I had set our minimum font sizes to larger than usual in our browser. But after your tricks, I don't need that anymore. My text looks great! (and a bit too big now LOL)

Refresh rate on LCD? Do you even know what is that? It for CRT monitors, LCDs do not refresh the image as as CRT does. So this thing does nothing :)

I got to agree this is nonsense. Truetype is nice on a LCD but not on ALL LCD's. It depends on what resolution it came with. On a Mac as one guy pointed out, Truetype is turned on automatically in native resolution. Refresh rate of course does NOTHING on an LCD. That feature is not made for an LCD and they dont work the same as CRT's. On a CRT however the higher refresh rate the better.

On an LCD monitor having any refresh rate at all is irrelevant, that's only a setting for CRT monitors. The pixels in an LCD monitor don't need to be refreshed periodically like in a CRT, they always stay on or stay off.

That was a verry good tip. I tested it with my Dell D600 ATI VGA card and the result was really noticible.

Mine actualy looks worse with the "clear type" effect.
It also has a refresh rate of 60 Hz which works best for me, above that seems kinda unstable... hurts my eyes just to watch. Anyway, tested it before.

The text looks much sharper and brighter on my LCD monitor. Some text looks really tiny because I set my screen at LCD's maximum (1600x1200), and it helps if its clear. But, it creates a little shadow that might take some getting used to.
