By Suzanne vega 1197569657 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI did not notice any difference (double checked the settings). In fact when I launch either browser IE or FF, IE launches much quicker. But I give FF much love.

By Catz 1171140245 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWould there be a reason why my "network .http.pipelining and network.http.proxy .pipelining" were already set to true?
Great stuff by the way
Well, thats wierd...I haven't the slightest clue why it would already set to true, unless someone beat you to it. Hoped the tweak helped though.
By goonies 1167776963 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehoped it helped
By goonies 1167965179 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeif u notice the bottom when it loads, that it is actually going through another server, something like blustreak or something. I dont know if it is secure...
By Sparkxyx 1167329867 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removesorry man but i didn't notice what you mentioned. I think its impossible to use another server by merely altering pipeling proxy.....sorry I couldn't be of any help.
By goonies 1167449254 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHow do I remove the nglayout . initialpaint . delay part?
By ikawbastod 1166157958 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYou can't really remove it, but if your right-click on the this name you can reset the nglayout....which will make it nonfunctional, which is as good as getting rid of it.

By David7992 1166135588 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhen do you get this comment...after typing in about:config? or after looking for the network...pipeling requests? I hope you are using a Firefox browser right? This won't work on an Internet Explorer browser.

By jeetsgreat 1175536222 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removecan you please explain a little closer what your doing... why did you change it to 30 and not like 20? and what were you adding?
By michaelangelo90 1165621222 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNormally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. The reason why I typed 30 into the value is that it makes 30 requests at once. You can enter a higher number but it won't make a drastic difference. The thing that I added was "nglayout . initialpaint . delay" and set the value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.
By goonies 1165631936 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei cant even get to about:config..whats up?..it jsut wont go there
By ?sj? 1171176865 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removesorry if this an obvious question but will doing any of this change anything e.g. cost more, downloads more. Really sorry if this is obvious but it isnt to me so any answer would be so greatly appreciated. thanks
By parker 1165596283 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt will help the pages come up more quickly, since it helps decrease the delay time of the information being brought up on your browser. And no, it does not cost anything to do this trick. Personally, I haven't tested its effect on download speed but I think that has to do with more of your bandwidth than anything. Hope that helps. Thanks.
By goonies 1165617656 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeits cool really working =) cool trick dude

By goonies 1167965248 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removemy e explorer doesnt open about:config. what do i do?
By ?sj? 1171176950 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDo we all have the same stuff in about:config, and do we have to do exactly what the guy did? or do we have to change those settings for our computer??
Thanks
Yes, everyone has the same thing in each firefox browser...so do exactly what I showed and that is all you will need....not other computer modifications needed. Thanks.
By goonies 1165617716 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removefirstly, are there any side effects, and if it does not work is there a way to restore it.
also if it helps so much, then why isn't it there in the first place.
sorry for being suspicious, it's just my parents will be super angry if I break my PC.
There are no problems associatated with this configuration. You can go back to normal if you double-click and change the values to false again and setting the others numbers to reset. The reason why it wasn't there in the first place is that it doesn't work well for people with dialup internet service. It however works great for cable/dsl internet. So they didn't want to make two browsers available...people would get confused.
By goonies 1166563089 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI finally got round to doing it and it really works!!!!!!!!!!! thankyou so much!!!
