    personally a better comparrison would be if a modded viper raced the sl65 (an old hennessey vemon 800tt or the new 1000 hp vemon coming out) considering that an amg is an upgrade. all in all the true comparison shouldn't be its road test but how nice the sl65 amg rides. i think i read somewhere about a mercedes tech taking a brand new sl65 amg to a florida drag strip. with ac on full blast the hard top down and the inseat back massagers going he still pulled a sub 12 sec 1/4 miles. the owners of the track wouldn't allow him to contue testing because i guess" a car that pulls sub 12 sec 1/4 mile times needs a roll cage" personally i think those enginers got that covered but what ever.
