How To Make Mozilla Firefox Run Much Faster

I had to split some of the things you need to type in into 2 words. Ignore all spaces between ' ' signs.

Type into address bar – ‘about:config’

Scroll down to ‘network. http.pipeling’, ‘network.http. pipelinging. maxrequests’ and ‘network.http. proxy. pipelining’ (If you just type 'pip' into the top bar they will be the only three there.)

Set ‘network.http. pipeling’ to TRUE (right click > toggle)
Set ‘network.http. proxy. pipelining’ to TRUE (right click > toggle)
Set ‘network.http. pipelinging. maxrequests’ to a number. (This is the number of requests your machine will send out at once. He recommends 30, I tried that and the page loaded slower. I changed it to 5 and it speeded up from how it was originally quite a lot. You will probably have to try different values to see what works best on your machine.)

Right click > New > Integer

Type in ‘nglayout. initialpaint. delay’

Type in ‘0’ (This is the amount of time the browser waits before acting on information it has received. Most machines will handle 0 fine, older machines may need to be set as high as 5 or so. If you’re having problems try changing this a little at a time.)

I accidently created a new entry with wrong info in it. how can I delete it.

Are there any negative affects for this? I mean Mozilla must have had those entries set to false for a reason right? Just curious.

is that a space between the dot and the ng... part or no spaces? oe does it not matter?

This is great info. Firefox is way better than IE but it can be a pain in the butt sometimes - being slow

was about the worst i have seen.
