    Turnitin doesn't allow macro enabled files from the latest versions of Word and strips macros from all the other versions. Your teacher is going to see "~a"s all over your paper and know something is wrong. The "~a"s will be in the file that can be downloaded too (because the macros are taken off there too).

    I'm a prof who has caught many students cheating and I can assure that that this stupid little gimmick will not fool any prof who uses Turnitin.com properly. Go ahead and try it but when you get that "F" and start to grovel and whine, don't say you weren't warned.

    The best way to "beat" Turnitin is to write an original essay and do your citations properly.

    This crap dont even work i tried every different ways. Your Macros are all wrong... Plus you barely explain anything like it messes the paper up when you replace a with ~a. Anyway thanks for getting everyones hopes up. This is a waste.

    I don't know ANYTHING about turnshitin.com other than its illegal and my school district bored requires all the students of all the classes of all schools except for the little elementary kids to submit it to turnshitin.com for illegal copying and reproducing, so you'll have to bare me with this:
    What happens if the teacher doesn't use Microshit Word (f) to read the document?

    I actually know a few people who have been screwed over by turnitin.com who didn't even cheat. It just turned out that some student somewhere did a paper on the same topic and it popped up as plagiarized even though they had no knowledge of the other paper. So anything that beats turnitin.com is great in my book.

      I'm personally not in college anymore I graduated before turnitin was instituted but many of my friends have used this method and have not been caught. Most professors will print a hard copy of your paper for them to grade and just send in the electronic copy to turnitin, so they won't mess with it. But of course nothing is fool proof. Use it at your own risk.

      Telling you to die was a little overboard, but I somewhat agree with him/her on the rest.
