    Domesticated dogs will kill for fun, as well.

    Cats in the wild, interestingly enough, won't kill for fun. Many of them will even cache what they don't eat of their kill for later, so as to save food. However, when animals have a master, when they lose their freedom, they will often kill just for fun, rather than for sustenance.
