The Security boss Standard kennel doors are simple to install and can provide a better fit and seal than traditional kennel doors. Before you begin the install you will want to know what you are working with and what tools you will need. The Security boss guillotine doors come with two side rails, an standard closing panel constructed of ΒΌ inch thick high density polyethelyne, and complete mounting hardware. You will want to have a drill, level and pliers to install your guillotine door. First you will want to remove the existing guillotine side rails if any, and caulk and seal any holes or gaps that will be covered by the new rails. Next you will mount one side rail on the wall. You may want to pre-drill holes for the mounting screws depending on the surface you are mounting to. It is important to make sure you keep the rail as level as possible, this will make the process much smoother. Shims may be necessary if the walls are bowed or crooked. Next place the standard panel into the slot of the side rail you just installed. Once the sliding panel is in place, take the second side rail and line it up with the panel. Make sure to leave a reasonable amount of space between the closing panel and the rails, if it is too tight the door will be much harder to operate. Once you feel comfortable with the rail positioning, secure the rail with screws. Next you will install the pulley system. One hook-pulley should be installed above the closing panel and the other hook pulley should be installed at the top of the interior kennel wall or fence. Next you will install the cable, starting with the closing panel, Feed the cable through the i-hook and tighten the cable clamp. Then feed the cable though the pulley above the closing panel, then through the pulley above the interior fence. Once the cable is through the second pully you are ready to attach the S hook or easy draw handle. Make sure that you allow enough slack in the cable for the guillotine door to operate smoothly and tighten the cable clamp
