Kseniya Simonova is a Ukrainian artist who just won Ukraine's version of "America's Got Talent." She uses a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and "sand painting" skills to interpret Germany's invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII.

    I love the art in it
    But
    Dont you think every art has to have a msg? and if its not a noble msg then it deforms the untouchable aspect of the art?

    -if she was addressing the WWII then the msg would be war is bad and we should be aware of it
    -if she is addressing germans then what is the message???????? I dont think germans would hurt ukranians in any way today right

      This is what I meant, there is no nead to pick the scab unless its to promote a humanatarian issue.
      for example same video on Japanese nuklear boombing has a msg that these weapons are evil
      but a video on Holocoust is kinda pointless 80 years after Holocoust, because in my opinion it will not change the past it may only change the future, and it can never produce a +ve msg for the future

      that each generation learns from the mistakes (and successes) of the previous generation(s). It’s a fact of life that the human race will all ways tend to bury their mistakes and remember only their successes, with the danger that future generations, being unaware, will repeat them (the mistakes). By keeping alive the most serious ‘mistakes’ will remind the generations to come never to allow such atrocities to happen again and to promote: ‘man’s humanity to man’ rather than ‘man’s inhumanity to man’ (the positive message). Hence -----Least we forget.
      This is one woman’s way of doing this in an entertaining way.
