Before turning off the computer erase the files in c:\windows\prefetch to make it startup faster. This video show how to do that automatically every time you shut down the computer.

      My stupid startup took about 5 minuts to complete then after this trick, it only took 8 seconds!!!! I think i know why it didnt work for you guys: The code is: del c:windows prefetch*.* /q (With space between windows and prefetch). Maybe you forgot the space between *.* and / .. And 1 more thing: Press: Start ---> Run ---> write: msconfig ---> Startup...Then disable all the programs you dont wanna have they load at the startup. Thats mean less startup programs then faster startup finishing

      Iit has nothing to do with the code being typed wrong. This will CRIPPLE your boot times PERIOD! Laptop owners may never go idle and need to force the Prefetch optimization themselves using this command: Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll ,ProcessIdleTasks
