This video shows how to get access to files from another user with administrative rights. You can also use this trick to unlock the hidden "recycler"-folder and "System Volume Information"-folder of each Harddrive. But don't use this knowledge to do bad things like hacking your brother's Video- and Picture-files!!!

    thank you so much for posting this it really helped me get some files off of a hardrive that could no longer boot. and for all of you people having trouble finding the security tab, boot in safe mode that should help you figure it out :) thanks again

    JUST use Winternal and reset all permissions in properties drop down menu.

    it's not on english? And in properties i dont have security i got sharing , customize and general. And it's not same like this. Great! I really needed this and now... :(

    I*m trying to help you with reading^^.

    First of all you have to go to this folder: "c:\dokumente und einstellungen" (in englisch something like "c:\documents and configs".

    When I try to opnen the other user-folder it says: "zugriff verweigert" ("access denied").

    Then: opnen the above-menu "extras / specials -> ordneroptionen / folderoptions".

    Then: "Ansicht / View -> einfache dateifreigabe verwenden / use simply data..." this has to be disabled.

      -First of all the folder that was navigated to was
      C:\documents and settings\

      -When xspyrox tried to open the test account folder (from a different account) an error occured saying "this is restricted (or something like that lol). To explore this folder anyway follow the following steps:

      Hi yeh sorry i knida stopped dead there didnt i. lol sorry about that.This video * i think* is for an older service pack i.e sp1 . therefore i don't think that this hack can be performed under sp2. however there is an excellent hack that you can do.... this guy explains it better than i cud

      this Xp isnt't an american or english version either. altho i wudn't have though that the different language versions would be different. i just reckon its an old version of xp

      U sure??? I can't see these options on my version of XP ( however it could be layed out differently cos its in a different language to urs.) When i right click a folder an go onto properties there are only three tabs (same with folder options too) - rather than the four there are on ur XP . my build is: Version 5.1(build 2600.xpsp_sp2 etc.....) how bout urs???
