This video shows how to change the password to a Windows XP account if you have lost the password. I am in no way encouraging you to hack anyone but yourself. =]

Hacking windows when you enter a user with no password, more like you finally realized you should set an admin password. I maybe wrong but on WinXP after installation when you setup users it asks you to enter an admin password or at least it will have one of the default ones, like admin. I might be thinking of Fedora.

Anyways, if you have at least 1 user that is in the Administrator group you don't have to enter safemode, just go to command promt and type "net user Administrator NeW_P4Ssw0Rd" to set or reset password for admin. This works for any account as long as yours has admin. All accounts you create at installation are "Computer Administrators" and if you want to reduce the privileges YOU have to go to control panel>user accounts and set it to "Limited User".

You can also not reboot into safemode but rather go to the welcome screen by logging out and hitting Ctrl Alt Del and typing Administrator in the user textbox and clicking OK, if the pass is not set, you're in.

  • Careful...

If you change a users password this way, Windows encrypted files (encrypted by this user) are no longer accessable, as this ALSO changes the encryption keys.

no need of doing that much frs.
just press alt-ctr-del 2 times when u r at login page.....
Administrator acc. will pop up. hit enter 2 login.
but remember only possible wen Administrator is not set as a user
