They are both amazing musicians! I am glad to see that there are people that stiil like to play good music. Not like all the pop BS that is out there that takes no talent whatsoever. Get a clue American Idol fans!
Enjoyed the sounds!!! Robert, you and Rocco were jamming!!! Keep doing your thing!!!!! Blessings!!You both are blessed musicians!!!
Min. Keith
Thank you for your comment Keith.... more to come soon...
great playing from guitar and sax, robert reminds me of the late great hank garland!
i like it
they are both great... but that sax lick at 1:20 is HOT!!
hes a shredder
Thanks for the kind words. It's great to know that people out there can differentiate talent from BS! Thanks for watching
i never heard rocco play bebop. he usualy plays smooth jazz. the last time i saw him was in his "no fear, with steven lee" days. God Bless Fats LaBoy in las vegas (bass, piano, guitar, vocals)
but i hate to be picky. they're actually trading "twos"
But they're actually trading 4's... they're playing Cherokee, and yes - it is 4's... not sure how you arrive at the conclusion that it's 2's, unless you're just tapping your foot half time, on 1 and 3.. but just listen to the bass - he's playing quarter notes..
Also, I'm not sure what's so "HOT" about the lick at 1:20, since all it is is a descending blues scale, ended by a Bb (concert Db) scooped up over and over - I'm not saying that these guys aren't good - but of all the licks they played I wouldn't single out that one, it's just bluesy...
And yes - I'm glad that things like this are still appreciated - I'm a jazz musician myself and the amount of people who actually like to listen to good jazz is discouraging... good stuff though!
its actually 6/8
