By following the steps in the video, you can send private messages to other computers INSIDE your network. This might be useful if your school/work etc. has blocked the internet connection, but the computers are still on the network. Is useful when sending PMs WITHOUT using MSN messenger or Yahoo messenger, ICQ etc. Easy More»

      The computer HAS to be on YOUR network, the home- or worknetwork your computer is connected to. You can go to My Networkplaces from the start-menu (XP), then "Show computers in the workgroup" on the left window-menu. If you see any computers there, note their name, and then type in it net send THECOMPUTERSNAME andyourmessage!

      Is there other computers in your home connected to your network?

      If not, then you can't use it.
      If it is, then use the method.

    • do this first

      you havent set up a network connection try doing that by click my network places and set up a network on the left side and do that on all the computers on your network. it might ask you to restart your computers. and when it turns back on you should see you computer on my network places with their names.

    • Some helping comments;

      okey, let's see:

      Have you connected your computer to a network group in your home? Installed a home-network on all three of your computers - common on XP. Have you assured that all of the three computers runs the same computer network; MSHOME or WORKGROUP etc.?

      Check it out, and reply!
