    Go mouse... thats awasome he did put up a great challenge but hey all god's creatures have to eat. As said before certain snakes wont chow down on dead prey and need to be fed live stuff. I personaly own snakes and they eat dead prey but there are plenty that wont. Sorry but there is a food chain and mouse is lower than Snake on it. *wave* GO SNAKES!!!

      In all honesty though, captive snakes get killed by mice and rats all the time. Captive bred snakes are like domesticated dogs, in that their instincts are warped by not being exposed to the wild. Release a bunch of pet dogs into the wild and a good portion of them will die. Same with snakes.

      This is why most experienced snake owners feed their snakes pre-killed food.

    It is immoral to keep pets that have to be fed live food. You are taking away the preys' CHANCE for escape. In nature, the predator has to catch it's food. You disrespect both animals in this way. What a shameful way to treat what God has made. One day we all will answer for what we did in our time here. How proud to have something like this!

      this seems cruel and i understand where your coming from. i sure as hell wouldn't want to be trapped in a cage with something that could eat me. but with snakes that are kept as pets majority of the time need to eat living prey, cuz a lot of them wont even go for something thats already dead. it's natural instinct to eat something fresh rather than something that already dead. it's like us eating bbqued chiken instead of road kill. it's cleaner. you can choose to feed a snake a dead animal, but it will most likely not eat it. i think it would be more cruel to starve a snake that has no way of feeding itself, than to feed it something that is alive.

      Rambo, I don’t know if you are saying “the mouse is dead already" because his ultimate fate is being snake food, or because you think he is dead. The mouse appears to be alive with fishing line tied to it so they can maneuver it around the tank. What do you think because he does move his legs and head a couple of different times, other than that it is hard to say. Bottom line even if the mouse is snake food, torture is not the way to go. Extremely sadistic attitude displayed here if in fact they are using a live mouse, it starts with animals then people.

      -eating processed food
      -eating cooked food
      -driving a car
      -enjoying your A/C or heat
      -using medication, aside from those prescribed by your local shaman
      -using your computer to complain about silly things
      -etc.

      A snake eating a mouse in an enclosed space would be about as unfair as asking you to catch and eat a live chicken in your room. Not only would you not want to, but you'd have a pretty tough time doing it. That's not so unfair, if your other option is catching a chicken in the wild.

      Please, be considerate, if maturity isn't an option.

    "Live Food" pets are immoral because by simply dropping the live prey into an enclosed space, you rob it of its' CHANCE to survive. To enjoy doing this is especially sick, and such people need to seriously look at themselves and their relationship with their maker - and how they treat his creations.
