Microsoft's video compression isn't *that* good, believe me lol. Try opening the ASX file in a text editor and you'll see where it points. You'll need a special downloader to download from mms:// sites, though.

usually the reason you're converting is some form of compression. Ie: a 170MB .AVI file to a 2MB WMV file. Would take quite some time to upload your file in that case. Still a nice find though, thanks.

I converted a short iPod advert, and it seemed to work okay on my s1mp3 ("nano clone" style). Not really practical for movie conversions, of course. It's a shame that there aren't any configurable options for that output format, and a damn shame there's no offline version of this!
