How to make homemade silly putty
I would use Calcium Carbonate to keep it from sticking to your hands while modeling.... that would be ground chalk finely powdered... I made this in Chemistry 101...Looks like your mixture is better than the one I used... Do you know how to make others?

pva is polyvinyl alcohol
part white glue (eg. elmers etc..) and solution of borax (cleaning solution) and h2o. works faster kinda-ish. no stirring. this video's technique is new to me. never made it this way before.

I'm not sure if there is a useful application for this, but it's great to play with. Oh, yes, it's good excercise for the hands :)

By andes99 1166092866 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDoes this stay soft for a long time ? and does it go hard when it dries out ?
Looks good... A little easier than the play dough I used to make, which requires heating...
If it is stored in something like a sealed ziplock bag, then it stays nice and soft. If left out, it slowly drys out and gets harder (which can sometimes be a good thing depending on how your batch turns out).
