By Bowjack 1168163601You deserve a large measure of respect for going out of your way for these children and I hope you make all of your goals.
Posted video a little late to get 100 mil views though didn't you? 3 days is not very long.
My little brother started two years ago to Sydney/Australia by bike. Indeed not for charities, only for himself. But he will be interested in your actions, I know him. I've transmitted him your great video clip. Maybe you can write him for future projects:
jens_rueth@web.de
To time he's in Dhaka/Bangladesh. Write him! He will be glad! (And his English is much better as mine :))
please just have him email me at soloride@gmail.com
paul
I wrote to my brother and asked him to email you.
By the way: Fantastic songs in your movie.
I'd wrote Jens and I ask him to email you.
By the way: It's a very nice song in the movie.
Good for you man - I hope you get the funds you need to do Earth next...
By Rob Gatzke 1168178151i've got a lot of respect for you on rideing you 10,000 miles. :) good luck on reaching your goals. we need peolple to rate this video high so it stays on the homepage.
By bigred93 1168138278that's a lot of dedication... i can respect that.... metacafe should have more videos from creative people like this.
By Mr.Clear 1168242814make sure to check out my friends video on here. he did a 10,000 mile bicycle tour too. i think that metacafe should have a charity section for videos. its a great fundrasier with the producer rewards. my friends video has the title "Spinning Southward" by melloajello his video is a better video then mine!
By soloride 1169183396Paul,
What an inspiring journey! A lot of people in this world have great intentions to do things like this, but NEVER get them done. YOU DID IT! It takes something that a lot of us do not have to do what you did and you did it so unselfishly! What a wonderful man you must truly be. I would count it a blessing to know you as a friend as I am sure that all of your friends do! How proud your parents must be of you! But Paul, you probably already know this, It doesn't matter what others think of you, It is what you think of yourself! I would say that you Love yourself very much and I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that I Love You too! God has truly blessed you my friend. What a wonderful human being you are and keep up your journey's. IF you ever need any support at all, please let me know and I will send you what I can to help support your next journey. Leave your email on a post so we all can get it and get an address to send you some money!
here is my email. thanks for the awesome comment :)
soloride@gmail.com
look forward to talking with you.
paul
this made me see that there is more in myself to find, altough the 100 million views and 100 million dollars is kinda impossible :s
By Naardenhg 1168195484this is not the only place i put the video and think if i get on Oprah she could show the clip to 30 million people. if was to get featured in youtube and meta cafe that could bring millions too. if the star wars kid can get 900 million views then why not 100 million...look for solutions and you will get solutions...look for why it can't happen and you can be sure that it won't happen... sorry that i don't have time to edit this comment hope it makes sense. thanks for the comment.
paul

It's great to see someone trying something creative to benefit others. You are an inspiration, Paul. People like you make the world a better place.
By krupke 1169227253In this day and age, most folks think only of themselves. It is nice to see you doing something for others. May you be an inspiration to others.
By shaley 1169225135MANY THANKS FOR WHAT YOU DOING, A PLACE ON HEAVEN WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU, AND AFTER MANY YEARS YOU WILL BE REMEMBER IN THIS PLANET,
SICERELY SERGIO JAVIER
Big respect goes out to you my friend. My dad and brother are both dyslexic and I know my brother had a bad time at school because of it. Its good to see someone bringing peoples attention to this. Keep it up you legend
By Anton2006 11692166501800s 2 ladies walked from Spokane , WA to NewYork total at least 4500 miles.. Read "Bold Spirit" for the whole story.
By de_track 1169187804Soldier on mate. A worthy cause and a monumentous effort. Soldier on Brother.
By SL600-M3RC 1169176027people always give away things they dont want or which is of no use to them and they think they did some thing great. real sacrifice comes when one gives away something they like the most. u gave ur time and energy for these kids. thats what makes u the best . wishing u all the best.
By vine200 1169169837Im not really sure why riding a bike around is raising money
By innominate227 1169177611Raising money through personal sacrifice and dedication is nothing new. It's an age old tradition carried on by many athletic events. Although you might not be more inclined to donate money in this type of situation, others are inspired by the lengths to which a select few (like Paul) are willing to go for a cause they believe in.
A 10,000 mile bike ride is a way to give without spending a penny to raise money. Most fundraisers are able to give only a percent of the donations they receive because they carry an overhead or initial investment. Paul can donate 100%
He has accomplished something very few people will be able to do, and we open their hearts (and wallets) in honor of his accomplishment and dedication to these children.
Why would that be rude if its not clear just ask. If you go to my site 8wishes.com and look at it might be come a become clear to you why riding a bike will raise money. I like doing fundraisers were I don't just through a party for a bunch of rich people. I have been to some fundraisers that cost a $250,000 and then they only raise 1 million. The cost of my project is almost nothing...plus my time. I don't have much time because I'm getting ready to leave for Sundance....I wish I could explain better... all the proceeds from my documentary solo ride will go to two charities...DARC AND LDA...but go to my site it should make more sense...8wishes.com
Paul
Its just at least I am no more inclined to give money to a charity b/c someone is riding a bike around, or running a marathon or what ever they are doing. I don't understand why other people are
By innominate227 1169180592I will have kristen explain to you :)
