- i knew it
  just type : shutdown -s -t 60 -c "your message"
  and the computer will shut down after 60 seconds
  if you want to shut down the message just open command prompt and type : shutdown -a

  Type the first line and forget the rest.
  shutdown -a stands for abort shutdown
  You can also change the -t 60 to the desired number of seconds.

better if you modify the registry and add the instruction to the Run on startup key. and give a time of 00 secs ;-) I made my friend to reinstall windows..... hehehehe was so funny

this only works with -t 60 and -n 30
wtf? i tryed to put other number .. i tryed -t 40 and -n 30 and i had to turn it off manualy from cmd and shutdown -a! why doesnt this work with other intervals?

  ping 127.0.0.1 -n 30 -w 1000
  shutdown -a
  iexplore
  
  If it does work then check in the command shell:
  
  shutdown -s -t 30 - c "testing"
  
  to see if there is an error message?
  
  I acknowledge also that, if there is another user logs on that pc at the same time, the shutdown msg MAY be sent to the other user than the one who provoke the shutdown process.

I can only assume
that the ping command was just to waste some time. If u want u can download Norton batch enhancer from somewhere. This has a delay command built in so u can delay the next comand by any number of ticks. 18 ticks = 1 second. Good stuff though.
