      Friend has a SRT Magnum. His girl friend has a BMW 600. SRT blows the doors off the BMW at half the price. But they haven't been to Willow Springs with them. Dunno. But I DO know my SRT 10 eats a lot of Ferrari's at the light

      what the hell you are talking about. If you are trying to compare a SRT Magnum then you are a moron. BMW only made the 600 from 1956-59 and it only had a 29hp 2 cyl engine with a top speed of 62mph.

      Why compare a SRT Magnum to a microcar? And also, where the hell did you find this INCREDIBLY RARE BMW?

      I like the American cars, Raw Power muscle cars, HOT RODS!!
      I also like European cars, there look and their finishing touch is perfect,
      Japanese cars are cheaper, can be tuned at a reasonable price and fuel efficient

      You also should not compare a BMW M5 with a C300 – it is stupid!!
      It is like comparing am M5 with a SSC Ultimate Aero. Guess who will win a quarter mile race now…..

      Bro....that M5 gave the 300c a kick on its but that the chrysler will never forget....and yeh....BMW is soooooo much of a better car....that's why I'll never give away my 130i....it's just a lil baby that'll kill a Chrysler....but got to say....BMW is just tooooo much of a better car than the Chrysler....300c is just over-rated!

      you seem to forget that those high displacement engines are cheaper and get better mileage than a smaller one of same power. Remember, displacement refers to the amount of volume in the cylinders not the engine block itself. for example the engine in the corvette zo6 and the regular vette are the same size, but the zo6 engine displaces 7 liters, the regular vette 6 liters. hp/liter is useless in the real world it's all about weight/hp. And OHV v8s are fairly light and compact, in fact an OHV v8 has one the Le Mans GT-1 division for the past six years straight!

      but the 300c did exactly what the japanese did. Exceed BMW and MB in sales for that class. MB is not complaining now that they have ownership in Chrysler.
      European performance is better but I think its more status then anything else. Both BMW and MB have a poor track record for electronics. I have notice that throughout the years reading car mags. From asking owners, I know that to be true.
      Driven a few and I have to admit. They are a driver's car. Great handling and road feel.

      and I'm not big at all on US cars, but he is right.
      The Z06 holds the record now on the Nurburgring. That is an amazing feat for any car, let alone an American one.

    I own an '06 Magnum SRT8, as well as three BMWs that were TOP OF THE LINE in their day ('85 635 CSI-$40,000 in '85; '95 540i-$50,00 in 95; '91 850i- $82,00 in '91!). Let me say that the magnum is more fun to drive than any of the BMWs, and if you consider the value (price-vs performance) the Magnum wins hands-down. The BMWs are not better quality, only more complex and expensive. I like my BMWs because they have character, BUT I have learned to live with their poor engineering. Like what? you say- well how about the weak front suspensions; the 4.0 DOHC V-8 who's oil pump bolts fall out; the V-12 and L-6 engines who's cam oiling banjo bolts fall out; the crappy electrics, the plastic water pump impellers that self destruct; the seats adjustment mechanisms that fail.....fine German engineering my Azz
    I think my point is made. Besides, you fan-boys defending these Euro mobiles don't have a chance in hell of ever owning one due to the stratospheric prices they charge for these things. You COULD conceivably own an SRT8. What Euro vehicle compares to the MagnumSRT8 (or Charger, or Challenger, or 300C) in BOTH price AND performance? Let me know when you come up with one....

    Ok, the 300 srt8 cant beat an m5 at a drag race, but it can beat a few other cars that are double the price. I own a Jeep SRT8, which is faster at the quarter mile than the 300, and a Magnum r/t. In my magnum that has a few performance parts, ive raced cars 4 times the price and they find it hard to get away from me, such as a F355 on a strait road. If your going to compare SRT performance with european supercars, use a Jeep SRT or a Charger, the fastest in the 8 cylinder bunch. Or better yet, a SRT 10

    There is nothing to compare.One is elegant supercar BMW and the other one is cheap american crab.Yes they bought Mercedes,because they desperately needed fresh blood,otherwise Chrisler would be history by now.Mercedes used this to expand their sales in North America and they did.There is nothing to compare about the quality too.Euro is too strong now and of cource BMW is more expensive.There is only!!!!!! one american car that is realllly beautfull and that is corvette 2006.But that is it!!! I dont want to say much better are Japanese cars compared to BMW,Audi and Mercedes,But that is another story.There is no american car u can compare to any!!! japanese.

    N****r car. you cant compare a car with the styling and performance of a BMW. BMW is a true drivers car. Not some crappy 300c where you can fit twentys fo's and some ugly two tone paint with four fifteens in the trunk and so many tvs you make best buy look like some hole in the wall store. what they need to do is compare cars that are in the same class.
