    when food gets stuck in all those cracks? They start molding and spoiling and good luck getting them out. Unless you can do a full wipe down of the table from inside out, this thing will not be good for dining at all.

      i think a little common sense and a sense of cleanliness will eliminate food from getting into the tight seams of this fine gem of craftsmanship. assuming that this was hand built, i'm sure you couldn't shove a razorblade between the cracks when it is locked in either position. this is what makes the difference between wal-mart particle crap and a fine piece of furniture bought from a dealer or craftsman. i bet this table is worth a pretty penny.
