well everytime i se video of a thai boxer winning another martial artist the other martial artists looks lame...maybe muay thai really the strongest martial art of all...besides it was made for war

  Randy Couture's Greco-Roman Wrestling skills (mixed in with novice boxing & subs ability) can quite easily beat this combination.

  BJJ is wrestling and submission together. You don't need to be a great wrestler to defend takedowns. Look at Cro Cop. Besides some Jui-jitsu fighters like Nogueira can fight just as well or better off their back than they can in the top position.

- Since Royc Gracie wrestlers dominate UFC
  We train various modules, inc. stand-up Wrestling, Shootbox and MMA Groundwork.
  As long as no one is recommending gi BJJ & Muay thai is all you need. BJJ is too guardcentric & too few submissions occur from the guard.
  Wrestlers dominate positionally on the ground and end many fights striking down with no necessity to pass guard.
  The pros at my gym easily do more wrestling than any other class, mainly because they're catching up as it takes the longest time to master.

  No. Pre-1993, most people thought Muay Thai was the best but they thought fighting had to done standing up.
  
  BJJ/ the UFC, Gracies, Couture/Fedor, etc changed all this.
  
  The war stuff is part of the mythology of every martial art '2,000 years a go in the mists of time...' stuff. Thai boxing isn't combatives & its fisticuffs came recently from an English boxing coach.

  the second time he got inside the thai boxer, the thai boxer did the hand behind neck kneeing thing, thus forcing the boxer to back away, which then allows the thai boxer to once again use his kicks.
