- another perspective on things....
  I'm a construction worker and lay asphalt. That black wonderful crap is layed at 220 degrees. In order to get the edge of a driveway (by hand, don't make a equipment for that) someone gets the experience of using two peices of plywood to walk on across the asphalt. I personally use three or four peices of plywood because the first two are 220 degrees by the time you pick them up.
  
  In this poor womans case, her towels would heat up as they lay behind her and if it isn't obvious enough, her feet aren't tough enough to walk across sun glazed sand therefore her hands will be far from doing so. Not to be a d**k but use some common sense.
