You had atleast one suspicious process on your pc, namely Internet Explorer... Ever thought of moving to Firefox, so you wouldn't have to worry about trojans, malware etc.?

  • Useful

This is pretty usefull as some of the malware actually run processes with scrambled names such as mxmqrrs or similar.

  • Close but no cigar

Well if I was a hacker and didn’t want you to identify my presence I’d first code my own backdoor that hasn’t been released to the public. Then I’d inject my server (backdoor) into the lsass.exe because you cannot terminate this process. Then I’d rootkit all dropped files from the server and either add you to my proxy chain or add you to my botnet.

    Congratulations! You’re a Zombie!

  • Did you notice...

When he opened up his browser it went right to that About:blank webpage? About:blank is a homepage hijacker. Get with the program fool if you are gonna share secrets

    • Sorry to say it, but your wrong.

The about:blank seen in the video is not a homepage hijacker. "about:" is a URI scheme implimented by all the dominant browsers. It is used to display certain built-in functions. In this case ecv has his homepage set to "about:blank", a browser command used to display a blank HTML document.

All of that said, there are a few CoolWebSearch variants are commonly known as "About:blank".
