In the spirit of Real World, Cops and Project Greenlight comes a new show based on Stefan Lysenko’s award winning documentary (pilot) entitled - Welcome to the Real Hollywood.

This is not Entertainment Tonight! There are no red carpets here!

Welcome The Real Hollywood is a REALity show in which we will witness the lives of a “real” group of artists who have entered the high stakes game of show business. Some were raised in California, like Rena Riffel and have traversed the peaks of landing roles in Showgirls and Striptease to the feelings of failure, while working as an apartment manager. Now, she skirts the line between being an artist and crossing over to the dark world of sex movies. Meet actor Mike “Boogie” Malin (winner of Big Brother All-Stars) who decided to have ear reduction surgery in order to compete with his competition in Hollywood. Last but not least we’ll see filmmaker William Buzick fresh out of rehab as he searches for more funds to finish his film.

Welcome to the Real Hollywood explores the daily struggles of real artists as they juggle the mundane responsibilities of living in Los Angeles with their high-strung emotions and ego. We watch as they try to “make it” as actors, pen the next great epic film or direct the next Oscar winning picture. All have been seduced by the glamour and the fabled glory of Hollywood. This show is not about the fantasy lives of celebrities (the 1% of artists) who have made it yet it is about the journey of the undiscovered…the underdogs that live next door or down the street...everyone knows one! It is the waiter that serves your food by night and acts during the day. It is the prom queen that travels from Iowa to be the next Julia Roberts. It is the gritty details of REAL stories…REAL people in an UNREAL place.

Viewers sit on the edge of their seats, not leave the screen as they wait for the moment when our camera crew is able to capture the ultimate gift – “the Hollywood break”. Welcome The Real Hollywood is full of heartfelt moments, dramatic confrontations, celebration, rejection, and even some of the funniest situations than can only take place in the setting of Hollywood.
