United were winning 3-0 at half time thanks to goals from Jamie Ward (7), Darius Henderson (15) and a Lewis Buxton own goal (42). Game over?

Wednesday needed a early goal and got one thanks to Marcus Tudgay (46) and then the owls were right back in it thanks to a world-class free kick from sub Etienne Esajas (66).

United weathered the storm in the final 10 mins and survived a massive scare in the 2nd half.
The owls deserved a point based on the 2nd half performance.

    Bring on April!! i'm glad because after about 6 or 7 sheffield derbys thats the first time i've seen united win so it meant more to me than it should i missed the double the other year lol. I think this game was the best derby iv'e seen it was fighting spirit from both teams and a great advert for sheffild 2018 but as you say the Ward on the strectcher incident was horrible. I was bricking it in the second half though but it made it the most thrilling match i've seen. thanks for the upload:)

    Yes we were the better team in the 2nd half and deserved at least a point, but thats football for you, you win some, you lose some. First half we werent at the races and deserved our hammering in the first 45.
    Johnson clearly got the ball when he tackled ward.
    Glad Johnson was taken of at half time, he was S**t .
    I wasnt at the game but those wednesday fans who spat and threw things at ward when he was on the stretcher are a disgrace to football.

    Well tell that to those 30 000 Wednesday-fans who are going to watch the game and celebrate like crazy if they win Blades again .D

    lol @ the end, apparently Blades and Owls are in League 1. Great won for the Blades and wednesday need to go back and carry on blaming the chairman. All i hear is "wednesday were the better team second half" and "se can be happy knowing we were the better team". Thing is the score was 3-2 you got steamrolled the first half, if jonson didn't injur Ward then would have wrecked your defense and midfield second half and Johnson knew exactly what he was doing.
