For those that have commented on this clip, please note that those of us that enjoy metacafe, enjoy a vast variety of clips, personaly I like motor clips but do not like soccer clips. That said if I receive a soccer clip I do not make negative comments as I realise some people enjoy them. This one in particular is a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T with a 360 cubic inch engine, a real muscle car. From the film "The Dukes Of Hazzard". The guy driving in this scene is a very, very skilled stunt driver, however to do this kind of drifting takes little more than a few hours of practice, for any reasonable driver. To those that post positive comments, well done. We all need a little more fun and a little less negativity in our lives.

No Dodge Charger R/T ever came with a 360 cu. in. engine. The 1969 came with a 440 cu. in engine or a 426 cu. in. hemi. The 360 engine was not used in any Dodge Charger until a year or two later when they took all the power out of all the high performance cars.

The scene was filmed in New Orleans, LA. The traffic circle is locally known as Lee Circle. The green roofed building in the background is a new Exxon gas station being built. If the stunt drive would have taken a right turn just after the director yells "cut", it would put him heading east on historic St. Charles Avenue.
