  • Easier way

there is an easier way, just use a masking layer. Open image, and then press CTRL-J (windows version). This will duplicate the layer. Then layers window and choose new layer mask. Select the background layer and choose your Hue / Saturation settings. Then select layer mask and choose the black paint brush (color must be black), and paint the eyes. This will allow the background to show through. at some point i might try to make a video like this one to show the alternative way.

    • or even EASIER..

      open google and search for:
      "Photoshop tutorial" eye color

should give you enough step-by-step options on how to change your eye color.

  • Why not just use quick mask mode?

It's easier, and more accurate. There are several effective ways to do this, but this is the first time I have seen someone create a new layer to do it!

  • Mask

Would be better using a mask for the colour adjustments. Make sure to not overdo it like in this example to keep it natural ;)
