Located on tribal land governed by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in Cherokee, North Carolina, are three roadside zoos that display neurotic and hungry bears in desolate concrete pits or cramped cages. The bears pace, walk in circles, cry and whimper, fight with one another, and beg for tourists to toss them a morsel of food.
