The afterburners glowing and are so bright at night. These are F-18 Hornets and Super Hornets from VFA-105, VFA-37, and VFA-211 departing NAS JRB Willow Grove during the late evening hours.

    Great clip, but for lines and beauty, I would choose the Tomcat any day. Too bad we put her out to pasture.

      Oh don't get me wrong, but the Tomcat definitely beats the Hornet, but in a way we just gotta move on. The Super Hornet's you see here departing in full burner are bad ass, and wait till you see the Blue Angels performing in them in a few years to come. But agreed, the Tomcat's got a soul, unlike the Super Hornet. But the Super Hornet will probably gain a soul in the future.
