It makes A difference on my phone. I used to get no service im my basement, now I stay connected all the time in my basement. Yes it's FREE..

After doing this my signal has improved alot. Used to get No Service in my basement. Now to or three bars. Go figure

There is no such thing as an executive main tower. All you are doing is turning on the err codes. This also shows what type of channel you are on. CCCH is the common control channel. The quick BCCH is the broadcast control channel. This will not impove your signal strength at all. The error code will be produced on the screen if there is a network problem.
