These drivers are amazing. Look how they control the car!
excellent driving skill, this racing should be more popular in the US, not nascar, just driving in a F**king circle
By 1131034043 Reply Spam [+5] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNascar........
Circle is so interesting
Look look They're making a left turn
This is just a fad that has nothing to do with racing. Racing is getting to the finish line as fast as possible. These guys are just sliding around the track sideways smoking tires.
About as interesting as ice skating....they are awarded points on style too.....LOL
omg its all bout getting to the finish line who the fuk cares no cares about speed anymore nascar is the most boringest crap ever thought of. drifting and ice skating? what r u some kind of fuked up white trash motherfuker tht u cant be mor of a redneck hick. fuk u u queef
By Merc186 1219971056 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe largest growing sport in America....75 million viewers every Sunday for 36 races not including All-Star Race. Obvioulsy you are not informed about Nascar, there are two road courses on the circuit (which has both left and right turns.....so why do you think Indy, Formula and other leagues are losing their best drivers to Nascar??? Could it be that people are tired of seeing these little go cart races and see some real racing where car setup, tires, fuel mileage and a demanding schedule determines that these are the best drivers in the world???
Even before you start your start your retaliation on my post...remember, Tony Stewart was the 97' IRL champion, 2002 Winston Cup, 2005 Nextel Cup and now the newly crowned 2006 IROC champion.
I was a skeptic too till I went to my first nascar race.....even the cookie cutter 1.5 mile ovals put the Indy 500 to shame....And yes, I went to the 83rd and 84th Running of the 500.
75 million fans can't be wrong!!!!
Nascar is almost as boring as watching golf!
By 3rdmarines 1201673496 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedid u ever seen initial d b4 u call that good they crashed at the end the video is actually 1minutes 21sec
By jack3889 1146877166 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewhere kids get the idea that bolting on a cheap, ugly spoiler to their trunk and a loud muffler gives you a performance car. Yeah right. It looks pathetic. They wouldn't know a performance car if it ran them over.
By socrfan 1139447158 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYoure damn right
By chevy0789 1218347017 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeit doesn't even seem like drifting helps the at all it probably even slows them down
By Borkay 1149734196 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeif done right with the right car, then a driver would actually accelerate way faster out of a turn
By dboy11368 1200238817 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe point of this races is not speed, it's drifting (show off of amazing control skills)

By dizzed_drifter131 1203894778 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeif any of your so called race cars and drivers attemted to drift race agaist these guys thyd be put to shame not all races are get to the finish as fast as you can wat about control races dick munchers
By TedFiesta 1201250194 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIn some cases, drifting is needed. Like before all these racetrack stuff with drifting, the racers would go up or down a mountain. Imagine grip turning without sliding into a hairpin going at a amzing speed. Instead, those racers made the rear end slide out.
This is just bringing those skills out to real tracks like this on tsukaba...
Anyway if you have ever tried simulation stuff its really hard to control the car like these guys did...transitional drift was properly controlled too.
plus these aren't kids -.-
they get paid and they get sponsered like other racers...
Very soon i will have my own drift track.....n will invite those good drifters in malaysia.
By @ll@n2 1156909789 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis is a dedicated sport to the art of drift racing. These drivers are professional, and their cars are built specifically for this.

By Salocin.TEN 1128744346 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe "artform" is called Drifting.. u can do it with anything that moves.. on the ground that is :P
By Jahweh 1130636092 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI actually did it driving a 7 ton ambulance once. Not a long sustained drift, but there was a noticeable slide.

By regos 1128428924 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNORMAL DAY in Toronto, to me!
By *Gary* 1128258370 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeapparently, this kind of drift race is common in japan. Correct me if im wrong, but japan has the best drift driving ever produced. even the cars are modified to slide better along the road, and the rest of the world is light years behind
By 1128245798 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis sort of thing was very common forty years ago, before the development of modern suspension. Sideways is great to watch but is not the quickest way around a corner.
By 1128254120 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI think skill beats speed anyday. Mind you skill at speed is best
The first leading car is without spoiler. BTW, what bird language is that?
By 1128240772 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveLanguage is Japanese - as per name on the in-car cam.
By Aussie_Vixen58 1128596172 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeits jap !!! the leading car is a GTR skyline... this movie aint that new... i saw it about 5 months ago...
By 1128245099 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveLOL Specifically a Skyline ENR34 GTT and the follow-up one is the Silvia 200SX S15 Spec-R...these D1 racers are amazing huh?
By 1128247082 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Remove"D1 racers are amazing!" I agree.
Anyone ever tried to modified old American muscules and race them in D1?
Imagine a 900hps Detroit muscle (say, an up tuned Chvy SS) vs GTR r34 in a drift racing!!
mopar did it with a viper str10
By green horn 1147987929 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveTo my knowledge, D1 hasn’t used any muscle cars to drift with, partly cos it’s got too much of a low end torque and the heavy front end of the car causes a very bias weight distribution, thus it’s better for drag racing. Yet I think it’d be cool to see one tuned for D1 drifting…but that’s gonna be a lotta work to be done. Moreover, it's a rare case for D1s to tune BNR34s to drift (R34 GTRs) as it's expensive to buy one in comparison to GTTs (aka GTS-t for earlier models) and an FR is preferable.
By 1128291883 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveTack! FR is so far the best for drifting, the base car and all the mods are not so expensive, but with great performance.
I just like to see some expensive non-nippon cars in D1. Let's hope some crazy rich man will do it.
Drifting Muscle, yeah, that'd be seriously interesting to see! It'd be dope if one day you do dat as a first-mover... I'll bring my car to join ya =P
