This famous bar trick was performed all wrong. If you pay attention the match started to burn on the right side. If you put it in the center it will cause the left side to catch fire causing the entire box of matches to go up in flames. Try it an see.

All matches are supposed to catch on fire, the middle stick is suppose to pop up and poke the observer in the eye. This will cause massive irritation and swelling resulting in the blinded subject calling for medical attention. During the confusion, you steal all the money from his wallet.
