  • There's a catch

    First of all, it does actually work, but it's not "free energy" and it's not "perpetual motion." Magnets lose their magnetism over time, and thus the magnets will wear out, and they will wear out quickly with constant use. Magnets cost money. Good magnets that will last a long time cost a LOT of money. So the problem has always been that the cost of producing the magnets outweighs any savings from the energy the generator produces. No one has seemed to be able to get past this problem, making these kind of generators really only good for emergency backup situations.

    • Actually, it doesn't work.

      You can't get energy (work) out of a magnet any more than you can out of a spring. You have to put something in to get something out. Why not just try to get energy out of the earth's gravitational field? Whoops! I might have just given away a money making idea for an internet scam! Or has somebody already worked this one?

    Some one is just keep posting these videos in different sites to drag people to those "Free Energy Magnet Kits" sites (for $99).
    This project is fake and not working as it's noted by many many people (just google it).

    This is physically impossible. It's a perpetual motion machine. As you can see, the LED turns on before the wheel is actually on speed. This means that the motor is powered by some external power source.
