Using materials you can find anywhere at home!
Thats awesome! I would have never thought to have used a regular loaf of bread. I love cooking but always buy a pizza cause it tends to be hell of alot cheaper than making your own because of how much that pizza crust cost at the store. I am trying this when I get home. GREAT VIDEO!
By kamkam 1166656582Cost me about £4-5 (GBP) or $8-10. That's A LOT cheaper than any pizza you can buy out there and the best part is you don't have to wait for the delivery guy! And it's so much better to eat it warm as soon as it comes out of the oven. Plus a lot healthier as well to use any materials you want.
By Pizza Maniac 1166658013Great pizza, man.... I've been making my own pizzas in a wood fired oven for ages now... usually make the dough myself, which takes about an hour to get to the topping stage... I used my regular pizza tools, including the studded rolling pin which pushes tiny holes all over the dough - YOU NEED THE HOLES and hundreds of them... Use a fork and keep the holes small, don't rip the bread open, just poke, poke, poke.... Also, real pizza dough is very oily, so brush olive oil on the pizza pan before laying down the bread... you may not need to lubricant, but the flavor and crispyness is great ! If you missed it on the video, I guess Pizza Maniac pressed the bread slices and worked them together by pinching and pushing until it became a smooth, single piece of bread.
Advice on Pizza Toppings, anyone ? The true Italian addage for pizza toppings is "less is more"... always THIN crusts and 1-3 toppings... no Super Supremes in Italy.... try using combinations of tinned corn, very-thinly sliced potato, brocoli, spinnache, smoked salmon, cream cheese, avocado.... but NOT ALL AT ONCE, whatever you do !!!
Yes, with italian pizzas you will never find any Super Supremes and usually it's a much lighter meal than having 4-5 slices of American pizza. That's why I have not stated the toppings that you have to use. You can use really anything to suit your needs, whether you want it light, or whether you have a healthy appetite.
Yes, when I say press the bread down and fill in the gaps I do this for about 2-3 minutes so that it becomes uniform as a single piece of bread.
Thank you for the very nice information here. It is all very useful.
i like the fact he taught us to make a pizza...but the funny thing is, he is putting the toopings over the pizza as if hez doin somethin goshtly, very slowly.... its like he tryin not to wake up his wife, who has asked him to control on fatty stuff....lol...
By rimedrider 1168658217for sharing this Vid, although it was funny and painful to watch you slice those breads, BuT what the hell! It was a simple but great tips to discover, EVER! i've done it! now my children respect me, and my salute goes to you. TQ!
By coldconcerto 1170008805For your very nice comments.
I hope you are always happy with your children.
It sure looks delicios!!!
I'm going to make one right now! im so hungry...
I knew that would look a bit strange! :) I had to hold the camera somehow though lol
By Pizza Maniac 1166633835Suggest next time using the tray pot on the viewcam recorder. it will make you easier to do the demo. It will bit harder to do it alone, 1 hand record and 1 hand making Pizza,.. But nice Pizza.
By Gaints 1170011877Only I would make it with individual slices, as in use the whole slice and not pressing it with other slices. And, put the sauce, cheese and pepperoni on top and in that order. Then just put it in a toaster oven with medium to dark selected and just toast it. Comes out great every time. If your just making some for just you or as a snack this works great. Nice video by the way.
By Loas 1169147685Here's my comments, and the variations that I had:
Variations: used wheat instead of white, pan was very large, added onions, frozen pepper strips.
Comments: not a bad recipe at all! I'd say that this is great for the health conscious, you can make some "pizza" that isn't covered to death in oil. Only problem I'd say is that the "crust" on the bottom is kinda on the thin side. Maybe smush two slices of bread together to add a bit of depth? Also, don't put onions in like I did. 10 mins doesn't cook them through enough. GJ Pizza Maniac, I enjoyed this recipe.
for your comments!
Nice to see that you tried it! Thank you for enjoying it and experimenting with it! Yes two slices may work even better if it's too thin for you! Again working with these things is always experimenting so just try it! :)
All the best!
we are snowed in down here in oklahoma and i was getting bored so i tried it. its pretty good.
By delarosa69 1168822009its great dude! thanks so much now i can save $ on home deliveries haha!
By Eiizan 1168021772how about tryin to make a crust now on the edges... didnt see tht on there so i thought of a idea.. there aremany types of delicious crusts but my fav is MORE CHEESE IN CRUST. so how u make this is make the bread base a bit longer about 5cm longer on each side then u put a sliced cheese along the edge then u close it up with the 5cm longer bread. u squeeze the bread so it sticks 2gther well then do wot u did and DONE . u will hav a delicious hot pizza with cheese flowind through ur crust on the edges.. i tried it and its very nice also u can also do this wif sausages on the edged instead of a cheese so u hav a cooked sausage and wot u do wif this one is u cut the crust then dip it in honey mustard sauce!! very nice actually .. anyways thts my way of doin it so THX VERY MUCH FOR UR PIZZA RECIPE.. APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH.
By dannnyboy 1167623005A stuffed crust Pizza Maniac's pizza lol...
I Thank You for your ideas and what you input in my videos.
Well done a very good video and I hope you get a tripod for Christmas! Nice that some people take the time to share such good tips.
By boyo3 1167047787about the tripod :) Thank you for your kind words. Have a merry christmas!
By Pizza Maniac 1167068790my hero! how you come out with this idea man? is good I tryed it and works just fine... I will try diferent topins next time. thank you for sharing this..
By rojito 1166878042a genius for coming up with something like that lol :)
I just thought that many people would like to cook pizza at home and it's so simple so why not share it with them!
Yes! try lots of different toppings! It always makes pizza more interesting!
Nice work.. Perfect for those who S**k on making their own home-made pizza's, like me;)
By wtfimdoing 1166727482can you also throw peppers and onions and lots more toppings? or will it make the base too soft?
By zeuglodondrummer 1166666130Don't worry about the base you can add any topping you want! If by any chance you find that the base is too soft, try using thicker bread or another layer.
By Pizza Maniac 1166667356what i will do tomorrow.
Damn this is a cheap pizza :D
do you have to use white bread(not the healthiest choice)?
By weeeeee 1166656245i think the bread is the least of your worries, the cheese and the salami will give you a heart attack long before the bread does. lol
By badeggs 1167661037But I would recommend not to use bread with grains or any seeds in it because I don't think that this would be very nice. However try using brown bread why not?! Totally customisable and healthy pizza!
By Pizza Maniac 1166657769If you need any help with the ingredients... I used mozzarella but there are many cheeses out there that can be used... I love mixing cheddar and mozzarella as well it tastes so good.
By Pizza Maniac 1166634179Wow I was surprised this is! I am a student and don't tend to cook a lot but after this I will never order pizza delivery again! :)
By hotandpretty 1166488354It would be even cheaper and taste a hell of a lot better if you made your pizza dough yourself... seriously ...it's pizza, not magic...open a cookbook of your choice, IT'S IN THERE! Not criticizing the author but all the people going "WOW! Pizza does not just magically appear outside my door anymore!"
By MLu 1173655221That made me wish I was there when it came out. I gotta surprise my girl with something like this sometime. They like little things like that. It made me so hawngry! You hit it right on with that prosciutto (I think it was)
By The Naysayer 1173251287You should call it Home Made tomato, ham, salame and cheese on a loaf of bread. Sorry man, but that definetly isn´t pizza.
look like it... it tastes like it though... It is the same thing if you think about it... Only the base is different.
By Pizza Maniac 1167267835i am familiar with this easy way to make pizza .. i do it a lil bit different ..
try soaking the bread in milk first ... not too much .. it will be fluffier when it's done ..and more tasty ;)
MY BOSS WILL KILL ME IF HE SEES IM NOT WORKING BUT INSTEAD I AM LOOKING AT PIZZA RECIPIES!!!
By fewdisgewd! 1166887865Tell him to come over for pizza night... He will appreciate it ;)
By Pizza Maniac 1166904872Great idea! But how hot should oven be when baking it? Thanks so much!
By Gachet 1166846901If you check at the time I put the pizza in the oven, I say that you should use an oven temp of 180C or 360F for 10 minutes (Let the oven warm up however before you put the pizza in)
By Pizza Maniac 1166850255...if You speed up the making of the pizza. ;-)
Nice! anyway!
Like this Like this like that like that :)
NICE VID Im going to try it out tomorrow :)
Thank you guys I didn't expect so many people to be interested in cooking!
Let us know of how you do with your pizzas!!!
its not that dificult to make a dough! takes you 5 minutes more:
500grams of wheat flour
1 regular bottle of beer (umm... I'm German so don't know if it works with wanna be beer from around the world ;) )
1 packet of backing soda
mix and spread with oil on your pan
we are baking the pizza ourselves, the hole thing. it`s rather common to make our pizza at home- so what`s the deal? is`nt it common "over there"? i expect the video comes from the U.S
By vargevass 1166998050My only purpose was to teach people how to cook pizza fast and with their own ingredients. While a normal pizza might take a long time to make (including the dough etc.) this pizza only takes 15 minutes. And it's a simple way to cook pizza when you have nothing else to cook at home.
Pizza is common everywhere. Point is, many people don't know how easy it is to make a quick pizza without having to call delivery pizza.. I hope by this time that I write this more than 20000 people now know how to do it. I know that this is not the proper way to bake pizza - it is the easy and quick way though.
Perhaps you can make a video of how you do it in Norway.. I would be more than happy to watch. Maybe you can provide some knowledge to the world - do it!
takes 10 minutes:
500grams of wheat flour
1 bottle of beer
1 packet of backing soda
mix and spread with some vegie oil
the PAN! And in the bread, poke little holes in it. I will cook better. Other that that it was very good (_:
By hvac101 1166662262I didn't try this (poking the little holes). Will test it out soon!
However, I never need to butter the tray because it's non-sticking and because I don't poke the holes and therefore the cheese does not flow to the base of the tray... Thank you for the information! All very helpful
Use thicker bread or more layers... That should do it!
sorry, im a curious guy, im from england/uk, i believe you too are from here, even thou, the video for sum reason, smaks of the us of a,but the syntax in the words reminds me of english/ english not usa/english, e.g color v colour you get what im saying
