  • That would be in fact a Trebuchet not a ...

    But hey, they should try built a real sized one (24 feet high) with 2 to 5 tons of rock onto it and shot the guy 600 to 800 feet away (if not more...). That may seems a lot but old machines where made to shoot several hundred pounds of projectile at once. Even dead cows to spread deseases in the seaged castle.

      to fire into hard to miss water. There were some folks in the UK, that fired at a net, and on at least one ocaission had a fatal miss.

      Oh yea, cataput is the generic term for throwing. So a trebuchet is a cataput, but a catapult can be any other mechanical thrower of objects...
