I actually had a Meteor roughly about 10 times the size of that one come shooting out of the sky with a noise like thunder while consumed in flames and crash straight into my back garden (at least i don't have to cut the grass anymore). My mates came round with a crowbar the next day and helped me lever it off my prize leeks. It managed to get it carted off in a wheelbarrow to the local chain-gang. The new swimming pool is great by the way, i had an umbrella fitted over it to ward off any more rude encounters with crash-course Meteors.
They should really fit one of those lazers in space to blast them to bits like the game Meteor does: my leeks could'nt take another strike like the last one.

It is fake, if a meteor did land in front of the audience the seismic wave of impact would disenegrate the bodies and the camera and vehicles and in fact anything electrical would seize to work. You guys actually have to debate this one? This is for a car commercial that aired briefly about 6 months ago. It's just cut short. The film actually continues to show the suv driving near the impact site to show it's "toughness." Just in case any dummys out there still believe, the heat from the rock would have super-heated the air, completely burning the heck out of them. If not, it sure would have melted the tape a bit beyond viewing.

I have to say, the first time I saw this commercial (drunk, might I add) I was momentarily freaked out. Most of the comments, are true but only one major point has been left out. The Sonic Boom that would have been produced by a meteorite that size would have rivaled that of the re-entry of the shuttle. That §hyte was hot as he££ though!! There's been some suprising comments here.
People need to know that entertainers and illusionists aren't really performing magic. I know a few professionals and some are INSANELY good. There's no way I can explain how they did something, but just because I can't figure it out doesn't mean it's "real".
Illusionists are called illusionists for a reason. I don't think I've met a magician who actually says what he's doing is actually magic (except when entertaining young kids).

I love this commercial. Laughed my butt off the first time I saw it because your not expecting the meteor to hit. Oh and it is a Toyota Tacoma for all of those that thought it was a Ford. And the shrapnel that falls down at the end is one of the dirt bikes that was in the bed of the truck when it got hit by the meteor.

Everything is correct that you say, but there's a detail that you're missing. When a meteor hits the ground, it isn't called a meteor anymore, it is called a meteorite. And in fact that's what bugs me all the time. If you want the people to believe that it's real, why do you put a fake name of the video!
