It's not a bad idea, especially is space is small, but there are quite a few more things to take into account. For one thing, since it is smaller, not everything will enter into a shuttle, especially larger graphic cards. Plus, you have less slots for additional cards, so you're more limited if you want to add osmething.

Don't buy stuff from Dell etc. Build a own computer saves money and you know what you got.
