Long damn time. I went --1973? Yeah, it was the year my older kid was conceived. At Fallshire (Falls City, WA) Renaissance Faire. Jeebus. Yes. I was in Madrone, then a barony, now its own principality, though I've gafiated. (time and time, what is TIME??) and in fact was part of the rebellion that made An Tir a kingdom. And someone owes me an A A scroll which I never got, but found a record of online.

Things were chaotic in the old years...I knew Sir Bela of Eastmarch, too, now in Valhalla.

My kids sang it for their grandfather and he loved it. Too bad your wife's family doesn't get it.

I was in the SCA in A.S. 7 and we sang it then. It's rather a tradition in pagan circles as well. I've been trying to get my wife's family to sing it for me, but no dice. They just don't get it.
