I wish I could be in space. So cool!
U don't have to be in space to experience zero gravity. There's a plane operated by NASA (I used to work there as an engineer). And they fly in parabolic loops in the air often taking up tens of thousands of feet in altitude. At the very top of the parabolic loop, the plane is actually free falling. During this cycle, everything and everybody inside the plane falls at the same rate as the plane itself, and therefore experiences zero g. You can experience the same thing on a roller coaster, but only for a few seconds. Anytime you jump off something, say, even a couch, you are experiencing zero g since you are free falling.

By ubighost 1146388373 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSorry for the double post, Don't they call that plane the "vomit comet" or something along those lines? I
By Existenzkampf 1132437094 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf a large plane is falling through air then there must be a lot of air resistance on the plane, making it fall slower (or faster depending on the weight ratio) than you would. The point is how can both fall at the same rate if not in a vaccum?
Ofcourse if it is done then there must be some calculation done by these engineers when designing. No problem, just wanted to know.
omg go buy a physics book over the most elementary subjects possible. you might even learn that ALL OBJECTS FALL AT THE SAME RATE, regardless of weight! ever heard of a guy called galileo? he discovered it hundreds of years ago. and yes, for some one who asked earlier it is the 'vomit comet'
By fieldsofathenry 1136064323 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIn this case, the high air resistance on the outside of the plane should make it fall slower than the people inside, i.e. the people should always be in contact with the floor. In this flight simulation the people leave the floor because the plane is dipping, like when a fast roller coaster dips down at the top. Your horizontal momentum throws you forward into the seat restraints, and you feel like there is not much contact with the seat. ALL as I have said before.
check the reply below
There are these things on plains called jet engines. They can use these to overcome any air resistance and power them down at the same rate that an object would fall if in a vacuum. I see your point about how the air inside should make them not resist, but that is falling at the same rate as well. Hence the 0 gravity affect
By sals7tmp 1145332641 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Remove...since a plane is already aerodynamic, it doesn't get much air resistance, the small amount it does get still doesn't affect the rate of fall caused by gravity.
By Generic Azn 1142988036 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedont forget about plane engines... it can use it to beat air resistance
By DreAdziK 1145119945 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAt the top of the roller coaster, you feel like being thrown out of the seat. This must be what happens at the top of the parabolic loop. This must be a really long loop so that you don't slam into the roof when the plane makes the curve at the top. Im not so sure that was a plane though. Should be fun though.
By gravy 1132295267 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeon the show called the biggest loser..
By NationalPro 1157586917 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeif i'm free falling and according to your dumb ass statement and i'm experiencing zero g... then why the f#@ am i falling?
By The Omen 1150070762 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyou don't feel zero G when jumping or in a roller coaster because you are still accelerating in each of those examples. The plane is not accelerating at the point where you feel zero g.
i guess it's not that funny when you S**t :)
By BiRDY^ 1130610106 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewow... wobbly
By adamo 1138648018 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removegod me too.. one day soon (they're workin on it!) they are going to have extremely rich people pay to go to space.. like a bus ride.. just.. way more expensive.. =*
By Sideara 1135057372 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNifty 0g demonstration, but it's inside an airplane in freefall. not in space.
By Erk 1128862737 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeits all good fun until you look at the window and see the clouds going past and the ground right infront of you. gotta have cojones to pilot that plane though.
By KX36 1133978307 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveEso po'... eso fue en un avión... no en el espacio XD
By Armando_Casas 1128993360 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei don`t want to experience such things..i just wanna live my life
By Ciovy 1167775654 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHow much do you Americans pay in tax to fund NASA sending a buch of clowns into psace with a couple of ballons?? Complain to your Governement my friends!!
By hello!! 1150995707 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeit will be so cool to go to space, (or in that Nasa plane!!!)
By Mrs. Depp 1146860623 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethis is not in space, this is a plane that goes far in the air, they use it to train in
By Mynthon 1141763375 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhat the F**k some kind of guy knows evreything about this S**t !
If I was farting there i was hai in 2 seconds!
Cool clip but why can't you run it two times. That annoying metacafe advertising is a very stupid idea. There is always something like that that just spoils it.
By Thorgal 1133457905 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIts funny when you take a piss
By Weezler 1132338183 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSo how much would you weigh in 0 gravity???? . . 0 I'm guessin'. Ah to be weightless. Cool video demonstration.
By spacecadet 1132284788 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethis is so cool!!!
By karnabit 1129802872 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI guess that is only one of the things that you can do in these O gravity conditions! Very cool!
By monelai 1128926103 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebad quality but amazing picures
By Iceurmel 1128604535 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethere so many nerds on this post trying to prove someting
By Great ME 1142961739 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeso idiots like you can learn something.
By fartfergnuggen 1146386726 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWe also know this crap is interesting, and may somehow benefit others or perhaps others may want to know. Plus, we learned this crap in school, and we know we won't get to show off wiht this knowledge at any other time, so we post stuff here. :-)
