      For gasoline to exploud, it has to be an analogical space/quantity number close to 11.1. That means, that 1Litre of gasoline has to be mixed with 11.1 L ox oxygen to have combustion. That is what compretion is in cars. And taking the fact that that woman just filled up tha tank with gasoline, is unlikely to be an explosion. The fuel will probably burn slowly.

    Always remember to constantly ajust and fidget with that synthetic material shirt you're wearing, and get in the car and scrunch around in the seat as much as possible to maximize the static charge potential before touching the nozzle....;)

    This is exactly why I always touch metal on my car before getting near the pump and/or nozzle when fueling my car. I know static builds up easily... I agree with the comment about how she did many things to cause this, simply wearing a sweater and rubbing on your car seat is enough. I think I would have put my cap back on to smother the fire in the car, wonder if it burned itself out or lit the car up...

      I had a senior moment... and checked my information... I apologize. Car bodies are indeed made from sheet steel. ::blush:: However what I had been thinking of were plastic or fiberglass body panels that some car models untilize to keep the weight of the car down... Saturns for example use plastic door skins... so you may not actually be touching metal which was the point I was trying to make. Again... Sorry!

      Not to rain on your parade, but most car bodies are made from fiberglass nowadays, not metal... even the chrome trim can be made of plastic or have a polymer coating. It does look like she lit a cig... however I've never seen anyone do it that fast..lol. Her hoody looks like it might be one of those casmier types (sorry spelling..). Maybe in her haste part of the cigs cherry lit her sweater. The sweater fibers would ignite and extinguish quickly without lighting up the whole garment. Could have been enough time to light up the fumes.

    Thing Is though this video is bull... all petrol stations.. are earthed.. what i mean by earth is no electrics is there..thats why when u go there they say turn off your mobile phones incase electricty is built up that way from there.so when the nozzle is inserted to the car the car is also earthed.. so its basically been put on.. crap vid :(
