    I have six friends in Iraq at this very moment. From what they tell me, the rules of engagment are so tight that they are for the most part only shooting back-and snipers are calling in all shots before they are taken. At some point we are going to tell the UN where to stick it----Than the gloves will come off and we will see who is shouting, "God is great!" In the meantime enjoy playing with your firecrackers because the big kid in the playground will not sleep forever.

      I am sure that there are some Americans who obey the rules of engagement, but for the most part the news and documentary style programs indicate that many fire pretty much randomly at civilians, particularly when they have just come under attack from an unknown person or persons. I am not sure of the numbers but would be curious to see civilian death estimates in comparison to troop numbers.

      I don't think that using a remotely controlled bomb is very different from using a laser guided weapon dropped from a plane, or the bullets/rockets from a helicopter using night vision equipment. In fact, the remotely controlled bomb in this case probably had no civilian casualties, unlike many of the attacks reported in world media.

                yeah so would i, but fortunitly this isnt the case here. Their country is not being attacked or occupied. Iraq has a government and an army in place, they are just too weak to keep order and fend off all the jihadists. That is why we are there, to try and keep order. Unfortunitly people are ungrateful and hate the Americans so us being there causes even more violence. I used to support the war in Iraq and i understood the reasons for staying there, but at this point i say we pull out and let them kill eachother, thats what the rest of the world wants, and of course the rest of the world is smarter than America. (not really, but they think they are) lol its kinda of funny, if it wasnt for the Americans the world would be communist. We were a super power that stood against the soviets and kept them in check. if we werent there they would be free to do what they please to the world.

                Also, the United Nations and about 20 other countries have troops in Iraq fighting on the same side as Iraq and the USA. They are fighting against so-called insurgents who are mostly from countries other than Iraq. About another 18 or so countries took part in the invasion of Iraq and have since withdrawn their troops.

                Oil is worth fighting for. Any developed Western country will fight for it. If any Western country were to suddenly have it's oil supplies drastically reduced, that country would see poverty, hardship, and death on a large scale. Think about everything that you use, like food, that had to be transported from the place where it was made to a place where you could get it. Think about not having heat in places where the winters get cold enough to kill.
