    Hey great tip.
    Just a little late for me, mine just got stolen yesterday.
    I thought this type of mechanism came on all new laptops and just needed to be activated once it was stolen. Anyway though, would I be able to use this software now, even after, if I new my computers IP address before it got stolen? Basically, can I install the program on a different computer, but change the IP address from the one it was tracking to mine? Hope that makes sense....anyone?

    I think that it does not actually show you the exact location of the IP address of the laptop. Doesn't it show the address of the Internet Service Provider (ISP), which could be many miles away? Let's say I used the phone line to dial up a long distance number dialup location of my ISP. Then the IP address I was given would be across the country far from my true location.

      It is a good start. However it wont work. I'll tell you why. 9 times out of 10 the jack ass who would know what to do. Is disable everything on it. Pass word or not a hacker will make sure it nevers gets on line. Now while its being off line, its being hacked and wiped down so clean from your modem down to the hard drive everything! When it does becomes ready it will be weeks or mayby months depends on how serious he or she wants it to be. The 1 out of 10 is the ones who will get caught is either he or she is a crackhead or somebody who dont know jack crap about what he or she got. SORRY...
