nor do you have any political intelligence? if we pulled out of iraq right now, all efforts would be lost. sure, some things could be gone about in a different manner, but leaving iraq is not an option as of yet. we're finally getting somewhere with the civilians. they're beginning to trust us, help us, etc.

put yourself in their shoes, you're in a country where at any moment someone could bust through your "door", kill you & your family over something very insignificant. there's no police, no army, just insurgents. then, another country (a world power) comes to assist in forming some control (government). you have to give to get. some innocent people die in the process (they were being killed before we got there anyway), but finally a government (which can't support itself yet due to lack of man-power) is being formed. but just when you thought things were going to be alright before too long, the world power leaves your country.

now the trust that you bestowed in them is annhilated in lieu of the insurgents over-powering your weak government. why'd they leave your country? why would they come and give you hope, just to rip it from your hands? what kind of cynical people must these americans be?

get it now? maybe you should do some research, or at very least put yourself in the shoes of the civilians we're trying to help before you browse the internet and fill it with ignorant comments. it's trash like yours that has the media going ape-sh*t over the least of concerns in foreign territory. you need to seriously re-evaluate yourself as a person before you start rambling about something you know nothing of (like yourself apparently).

Due to the fact that in order to be a liberal you must always remain WILLFULLY IGNORANT in ALL matters. The necessity of war as a last resort is just one of many examples of your liberal ignorance in spite of nothing but evidence to the contrary of that ignorant position. History shows war is often the only option and if it weren't for the brave men that come to the rescue of the ingrates like you, the parade of Thugs like Hitler would not be stopped. Either you would be crushed or find yourself living under conditions similar to the workers paradise of North Korea.. All, in spite of your pure pacifistic liberal heart. No the Hitlers of the world don't want to talk or get along. They only want to dominate and control. The fact that you will always remain willfully ignorant of this fact is why you will never understand that the brave men that surrendered their life for you is something you should appreciate and acknowledge.. But lacking that capacity, mocking them as you do, puts you in the the group known as 'Useful Idiots', as Stalin spoke of.. and as he knew, it is from those morons that all tyrants derive their power.. It is your pea brained mindset that has always enabled thugs like Hitler.. How ironic.. How Sad for those who have died for you only to be mocked. There is no Hell hot enough for your kind.

Having a niggle at someone for grammar really is irrelevant, and is one of the lowest methods you can use for arguing a case. Never mind checking grammar, check your comment first!

Remember to consider THE OTHER side of this arguement. Should the "Liberation" of Iraq really have been conducted in such a way? Would it not be a good idea for America to have listened and tried to fight the arguement properly instead of launching into a somewhat disorganised conflict with Iraq? I have no doubt in my mind that something needed to be done, but in this day of technology we really could have avoided many of the problems which occurred during the process just by thinking it through and not getting all hyped up on war hysteria.

What is so patriotic about war? It's about serving your country, your family, your peers, and mostly it's about defending GOD GIVEN FREEDOM. I guess some people just don't know what all of that means...

to anyone who doesn't like what's going on - vote. OMG there's an astounding thought. i hope it isn't too much to handle for some of you (LinuxTommy). and for those of you that are in agreeance with Mr. LinuxTommy, please take a moment to reflect on this: it's impossible to "do the right thing" 100% of the time. in fact, sometimes it's necessary to do a few things in an "unacceptable" manner in order to improve certain situations (in war, for example).

We have removed a ruthless dictator from power that is responsible for the deaths of MILLIONS of innocent people. Why can we not support the country from the outside? I do not know about you, but I did not see you walking down the streets of Baghdad with my fellow soldiers nor myself putting YOUR life on the line for the happiness of individuals you will never meet. There are insurgents, how can we defeat our enemy from outside the country?

Where are all the pictures then gunning down innocent women and children who are not even armed? Using an Apache Helicopter to gun down a woman crossing the street at night i think is kind of excessive not to mention doing it at full auto for 15 seconds.... You sent a bunch of X-Box Doom/Quake playing Kids out there and they think its one big video game.... remember another video on here with US training where the drill instructors make them chant ... OhhAhhh OhhAhhh i wanna kill somebody!.... Great way to train.. Perfect Mindset... I could care less if their legs are blown off, they are not fighting for my Freedom, My freedom was given to me a very long time ago and it cannot and will not be taken away from me.

Hey DierWold, believe me, when the bullets start flying I can guarantee we don't think its a video game. Maybe you see a lot of "kids" over there cause we haven't forgotten who we are and what it means to be an American like others. Secondly, you need that mindset for training. We're leaving everything we know to go face an enemy that has the upmost hate for our country and who will do anything to bring harm to our loved ones. That very freedom that you claim could never be taken away, was given to you by soldiers that lost more than their legs. We defend your right to be disrespectful and the ironic thing is, its my honor to do so. Don't forget those men and women you stand on a line between you and evil, just so you can sleep at night knowing that your freedom will never be taken away.

The United States encourages this closed, inward state of thinking. I do not live in the United States, I have lived in the United States and I never want to go back there again. Do you believe that freedom of speech should not be encouraged? Is that what you believe - that anyone who speaks against American politics actually has NO SUBSTANCE and should be exiled?!
