Nevada doesn't have any medical facilities equipped to care for medically fragile children. Nevada doesn't have any hospice programs centered around children. Fred Schultz founded the nonprofit organization, Foundation for Positively Kids to combat this problem. Families with medically fragile or terminally ill children have three options: enter into an adult facility, like a nursing home, extend their stay in an expensive hospital setting or leave the state of Nevada. Fred's hopes are to build such a facility in Henderson, Nevada.
