  • They "envy the ...

They "envy the public"? Uh, what? That's the first time I've heard that one.

Your argument's just getting stranger and stranger. Keep going. Do they also masturbate about the public? Do they make animal balloons in the same of regular people?

  • And the opposite of ...

And the opposite of 'kiss your ass' is... tazer your ass? I'll choose kiss please.

They may WANT to server the common good, but why would the law be the right way to do that? The law is inflexible, it has to be to stop people from bending the rules, however it SHOULD be flexible to stop the rules from bending the people... into its image. Which btw isnt democratic.

  • Mate, in order to ...

Mate, in order to prevent corruption and tyranny. All gov't officials (INCLUDING COPS) have to take an Oath of Office. That Oath of Office, and Position of Public Trust, puts them in a position as a Public Servant. To Serve the Public! They are always to be in a position envying the public, otherwise corruption and tyranny reigns supreme. THAT was part of the checks and balances put into place to prevent tyranny. Problem is, too many people like you allow them to be ignorant of this fact!

  • No, they're not ...

No, they're not servants, they're people just like you and me. "Protect and serve" means to serve the common good and the laws of this nation. It doesn't mean to bend over and kiss your ass, you selfish prick.

  • when they handle ...

when they handle themselves accordingly they deserve praise. It's the ones that act as thugs, breach the peace, or break the law that should be outed. An abuse of power SHOULD CONCERN all members of the public. They are the servants not the ruling class, and some seem to forget that.
