A private library? ROFL. Tyrannical meter readers? Tyrannical sewage treatment plant workers? Laws to make sure a Dentist actually knows what he/she is doing? Or a funeral director who won't mutilate your mother when on the embalming table because he isn't *quite* sure where the carotid artery is? Oh Lord - you must be a youngen still - you know not what you speak. There are no blue laws in NH - only in NJ (in the northeast)...and that, I would agree with you on.

Libraries should be privatized, and not subsidized by people who would prefer not to pay for them.
But the real tyranny I am referring to is among the following:
zoning laws, eminent domain seizures, maintaining phone, cable TV and trash collection monopolies, local electric, sewer and natural gas monopolies, govt-funded performing art centers, lavish town halls, drug war asset seizures, "blue laws," professional licensure laws and other local violations of our rights.

Well, if you saw some of the women in the freestate movement, you would know razors for their legs AND faces are badly needed...so...move? Is that the right answer? lol. In any event - I understand everything you said; however, I strongly disagree with you that all government workers are some inherently evil beings - I contend most, certainly not all, are good honest people employed with good intentions - & around and around we go - I won't convince you otherwise - and neither will you me.
